Just to remind everybody that the Library will be closed from 5.30PM this evening for the entire Easter weekend through until next Wednesday morning (11th April) when we shall be open from 9AM until midnight for the rest of the week. Look forward to seeing you then!

The Library Shop, Paper 676, will be shut for the duration of the Easter vacation and won’t reopen until the start of the Summer Term on Monday 16th April.

However Cafe 641 is remaining open for business so you needn’t worry too much about going hungry or thirsty! It is operating to vacation opening hours, though, which are 9.30am to 4pm during the week, and closed at the weekend (only because we are too!).

Don’t forget, we are open this weekend.

• Saturday 1st October 2011 – 9am-12.00 midnight
• Sunday 2nd October 2011 – 10am – 12.00 midnight

Owing to popular demand the Library will be open Monday to Friday from 9.00AM until 8.00PM during September, from Monday 5^th September to Friday 30^th September.

The Library will remain closed at weekends until Saturday 1st October, when we shall be open from 9.ooAM until 12 midnight (and 10.00AM until 12 midnight on Sunday 2nd October). Semester One begins on Monday 3rd October, when the Library will revert to normal term-time opening hours.

Please note, the last admission to the building will be 10 minutes before closing.

During the Vacation period the Library will be open until 8 pm on Tuesday evenings. On all other week days, the Library shall close at 5.30PM (with last admission to the building being ten minutes before closing).

The Library will be closed at weekends.

It’s that time of year again that every students dreads… exam time!

But dread not, for help is at hand from your friendly Library!

As is our practice, we shall be switching over to 24-7 opening over the frenzy of revision time fever, starting this Friday (May 27th) through until the end of term (Thursday 23rd June). Yes, we’re open on Bank Holiday Monday, too!

Naturally you’re all going to want to come and work here (we’ve got the best coffee on campus after all!) so space is going to be at a premium. Over the last year we’ve shifted things around to make more room for you, but there are those who like to take up more than their fair share – even when they’re not here!

So please, be kind and don’t leave your stuff lying about when you’re not there; aside from the fact that a seemingly abandoned laptop or i-Phone is the perfect lure for ne’er-do-wells, you’re depriving other people of a place to study.

Also, please spare a thought towards keeping the noise levels down on Levels One & Two – remember, they’re silent study areas (no food or drink down there either, please!), and if you want to chat, pop up to ‘Lively’ Level Three, or book one of our world famous study rooms if more serious group discussion is your aim! 

Happy revising – and do remember to take breaks! Did we mention we’ve got the best coffee on campus…?

The Library is keen to know what students think about its opening hours. There is a kiosk on the Library’s Level 3 which allows people to complete a 2 minute online questionnaire. This is a great opportunity to let the Library be aware about when it should be open in future. The kiosk will be available until the 11^th May.
