Best student experience in the UK

We’ve always known the student experience at Loughborough is special, but now it’s official. We topped the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey for 2016.

2015 University of the Year

A brilliant achievement for Loughborough, made even more special by the fact that the University of the Year is decided by the reviews and opinions of our students. Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2016 ranked us a close second place.

Five stars for excellence

Our QS Stars rating is a big deal, as it provides an independent assessment of multiple areas, including teaching, research, employability and internationalisation. We scored 5/5 in each area!

Top Sporting University

There’s a reason we’ve won BUCS for 35 years in a row. Our fantastic sports facilities and opportunities were recognised by The Times Good University Guide in 2014.

7 Queens Prizes for research

We’ve also been recognised 7 times with a Queens Anniversary Prize for the quality of our research. In 2013 our Vice-Chancellor and a team of students were invited to receive the award from the Queen herself!

A Top Ten University

Our leap to 7th place in the Complete University Guide 2017 confirms Loughborough as a Top 10 university in the UK, meaning we’re one of the best in the country.

I would like to thank the entire Loughborough University community for getting us where we are today. To secure 7th place in the guide shows what an incredible environment we have created here at Loughborough, and one we should all be rightfully proud of.
