PhD workshop on Copyright and your thesis

PhD students must comply with UK copyright law when writing or submitting their thesis. This session will explain some of the basics of UK copyright law including how to apply for copyright permission. It will also explain how you can retain your copyright when you start publishing your own work.

This course will be held on Tuesday 6th Novemkber, 10.00-11.30am.

PhD training session: Creating & Measuring your Bibliometric Impact for PGRs

Designed for mid-career and experienced PGRs wanting help to select where to publish, this session will highlight the importance of developing an appropriate and effective publishing strategy. It will demonstrate tools and databases that provide journal and bibliometric data and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of both the tools and the statistics. It will help you to develop appropriate publication strategies for raising your profile within your own research area.

PhD training session: Copy right, not Copycat – Good Academic Practice when Writing your Thesis
