Academic Search Complete (EBSCO) – trial

Academic Search Complete

Academic Search Complete is the world’s most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,400 journals.

(The trial has been set up as a replica of our account and includes the main EBSCO Abstract and Index resources such as INSPEC and PsycINFO.  You will notice that when these Abstract and Index resources are searched individually Full Text will appear in the result lists due to EBSCO’s SmartLinking feature which seamlessly adds the Full Text from Academic Search Complete to the Abstract and Index record).

The trial will run until the end of December 2011 and can be accessed via http://trial.ebscohost.com with the username and password available from the Electronic journal and information services passwords web page (use your University username and password to access this page).
