Reading is the passion. The first floor of library

Book clubs (aka reading groups) are hot news! They’re springing up all over the place from cafes and libraries to prisons and the workplace. With this in mind, our latest initiative is the launch of a book club exclusively for students so you too can get in on the act and see what all the fuss is about!

Club 790 (yes, we even have an intriguing name!) costs nothing to join and all books will be provided free-of-charge. Come along for a relaxed and friendly exchange of views and opinions. All you have to do is read the book and turn up!

Why not join us at the official launch on Wednesday 13th February at 7pm in the Village Bar?

  • Half-price beer, pizza and nachos!
  • The chance to speak to local author Maria Allen, shortlisted for the Desmond Elliott prize
  • Free copies of the first book selected for discussion: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon
  • Exciting prize draw!
  • Browse the book display stands
  • Chat to Loughborough Public Library staff.

For catering purposes, please register your interest in attending by contacting Sharon Reid at the Library: S.D.Reid@lboro.ac.uk, ext. 222352.
