Library Showcase - Prize winners
The Library Showcase aimed to highlight to academic and support staff the services offered by the Library and other support service departments. The event was a great success with comments like: “I learnt so much”; “It was so useful having all the support service departments together, so I could see how you all inter-linked and can help me” and “It was amazing, why didn’t I know all this already?”
The Library was delighted that Imago, Blackwell’s Bookshop and Teaching Support sponsored the event.
The Library is delighted to invite ALL University staff to the first ever Library Showcase TODAY between 11:30 am and 2: 00 pm.
The Showcase aims to highlight key services, not only from the Library, but other support departments across campus that will support your research and teaching.
There will be exhibits on: How to work out your research impact using bibliometrics; Where you and your students can seek guidance on how to improve their academic, employability & IT skills; What e-learning tools are available for you to use to further enhance the learning experience; and New and existing online services, such as Library Catalogue Plus, LUPIN, Reading List System, Institutional Repository and RefWorks.
There will be plenty of opportunities to relax and chat about your research and teaching with colleagues whilst browsing the exhibition and enjoying a light buffet lunch.
Also, why not tell us what you think of the event and services on offer on Twitter using the hashtah #libshowcase.
We look forward to seeing you, so don’t forget to drop in.
