JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers (Long Term) Application Deadline: Thursday, 27th February 2014 Fellowships must be started between 1st September to the 30th November 2014.

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is the leading research funding agency in Japan, established by the Japanese Government for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science. Our Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers (LongTerm) provides the opportunity for researchers based outside of Japan to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese universities and research institutions for visits of between 12 to 24 months.

Eligible applicants should be citizens of the UK or EU and need to have finished their PhD at a UK university or research institution at the time of applying to start their fellowship in Japan or have obtained their PhD after 1 April 2008.

Eligible research fields are limited to natural sciences, including physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, engineering science, agricultural and medical research (non-clinical only).

Apprenticeship Scheme 2014-15

Springs Dance Company is inviting applications for its Apprenticeship Scheme commencing in September 2014. This is an intensive dance training course within a Christian context.

Dancers and students can apply to audition for the one year course, elevate dance company which culminates in a tour of performances and workshops. Those with less experience of dance can apply to audition for the three month elevate foundation course. Both courses commence in September 2014, and take place in South London.
