The International Conference on Integrated Information (IC-ININFO 2014) will be held in Madrid, September 5-8, 2014. The IC-ININFO 2014 is the fourth in the series of this annual international event. The IC-ININFO is an initiative of the Department of Library Science and Information Systems of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, and Chair of the Conference is the Head of the Department, Professor Georgios Giannakopoulos.
The IC-ININFO is a fact and it is gaining worldwide recognition from the people (academic, professionals, practitioners, etc) that are involved in the field of information management in the evolving integrated environment. Topics include every aspect of Library, Archives and Information Science, such as: information management, knowledge management, records-document Management, health information, cultural heritage management, digital libraries, semantics, copyright, e-publishing, digital Preservation, etc. More information and a detailed list of topics covered by the IC-ININFO can be found at the conference website at www.icininfo.net.
Professor Dirk Lewandowski from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, will be the keynote speaker of the IN-ININFO 2014. Professor Claudia Loebbecke from the University of Cologne, Department of Media and Technology Management, will be one of the invited speakers.
All accepted papers will be published in AIP Conference Proceedings, a journal that is indexed by CPCI-Conference Proceedings Citation Index. All authors may submit original papers (related to their presentation) for publication in the Special Issues of a number of journals (among them: Journal of Systems and Information Technology, Library Review, International Journal on Integrated Information Management).
The International Journal on Integrated Information Management (IJIIM) is an open access scientific electronic journal, which publishes articles that are based in research data that has been presented in IC-ININFO, as well as any other paper that is related with information management. All papers have double blind review process before their publication. The IJIIM has ISSN for the printed and the electronic edition and DOI.
The first IC-ININFO was successfully organized in Kos Island, Greece between September 29 and October 4, 2011. The conference gathered 110 competence academics and practitioners from around the world for four days. IC-ININFO 2011 was honored to have Professor Amanda Spink as the Keynote Speaker. Professor Amanda Spink is Chair in Information Science in the Department of Information Science at Loughborough University (UK). She is widely recognized as one of the top leaders in the field of Information Science.
The second IC-ININFO 2012 was held in Budapest, Hungary, between August 30 and September 3, 2012. In IC-ININFO 2012, 194 papers have been submitted and 109 of them were selected to be published at the Conference Proceedings volume at Elsevier’s Procedia Social and Behavioral Sciences, an electronic journal focusing entirely on publishing high quality conference proceedings
The third IC-ININFO 2013 was held in Prague, Czech Republic, between September 5 and September 9, 2013. In IC-ININFO 2013, 212 papers have been submitted and 120 of them were selected to be published at the Conference Proceedings volume at Elsevier’s Procedia Social and Behavioral Sciences.
