Three intrepid/massively enthusiastic/hopefully-not-undertrained colleagues from the Graduate School are stepping out on 25th September 2016 to take part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon, held in Nottingham.
Yes, Dr Kathryn North, Dr Jill Gisby and Prof Andy Dainty thought it would be a great idea to run 21km, non-stop(-ish) in whatever mixture of weather the English autumn throws at them. Nike wellies and Adidas sunscreen are at the ready.
They’re not doing this entirely for fun, however. They’re running for three charities close to their hearts – Tommy’s, Milo’s Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support.
So, please everyone, make their suffering (and believe me, they will suffer 🙂 ) worthwhile. Please sponsor them with whatever amount you can spare – it’s really easy to do as it’s all online at their Virgin Money Giving page:
Thanks! Looking forward to their race report…
