After months of training, weeks of fund raising and a few days of carb-loading, the Graduate School running team finally took to the streets of Nottingham to complete the Robin Hood half marathon.

Prof Andy Dainty, Dr Kathryn North and myself, completed the 13.1 mile course in 2hrs 6mins – a great achievement. There is already talk in the Graduate School of entering a team next year just to beat this time!

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of students, colleagues and friends, and are very proud to report that we have raised £2,050 to date (that’s £2,426.17 with gift aid!) for our three nominated Charities – Tommy’s, Milo’s fund and Macmillan Cancer support.
