Web Automated Management (WAM) tool now available to School IT Staff

Launch of WAM

We are pleased to announce that the Web Automated Management tool, commonly known as WAM, has been made available to all School IT Staff.

WAM has been designed in IT Services to provide a more simple, consistent, and efficient approach to common desktop, server and other infrastructure management tasks. School IT Staff are now able to use it for basic desktop management tasks, and more options will be introduced in future.

The tasks that are initially available are:

  • Find a PC in SCCM – search by PC name or MAC address.
  • Delete a PC from SCCM – delete PCs from your own school, labs or Unprovisioned Computers.
  • Advertise specialist software to a PC.
  • Advertise specialist software to a lab, a group of labs or an entire department of staff computers.
  • Reset a user’s password.

We will release more tasks via this system as and when they have been created. Please continue to check the WAM page and this blog regularly for updates.

The URL for WAM is https://wam.lboro.ac.uk. You will need to login with your –admin account (username must be in lowercase) to access the site.

Should you have any problems accessing this page, please contact the IT Service Desk via IT.Services@lboro.ac.uk.
