Low space on \\SCCM-DBASE\APPS

Disk space is running out on \\sccm-dbase\apps.

Please delete any unwanted SCCM packages and remove the source files from \\sccm-dbase\apps. This includes both normal and virtual apps.

This is to ensure we have sufficient space for new deployments and so we can support new computer models.

Windows 7 Staff Deployments

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 Staff Rollout

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 will be deployed to all Windows 7 Service Staff PCs across campus from the 26/01/2016. The rollout schedule is as follows:

  • 26th Jan 2016    ITS Dept
  • 2nd Feb 2016     Support School
  • 4th Feb 2016      External Depts
  • 9th Feb 2016      Schools1 Collection
  • 16th Feb 2016    All of Campus

 Cisco Jabber 11.5.0 Staff Rollout 

The Cisco Jabber upgrade will be deployed to all Windows 7 Service Staff PCs across campus from the 21/01/2016. The rollout schedule is as follows:

  • 04/02/2016    All Staff

SCCM 2007 and workspace remediation

IT Services will be working with Logicalis to address some storage issues on volumes that underpin Individual and Group Workspaces, SCCM 2007 and Learn.  This will return the storage infrastructure to its preferred state prior to the exam period next week.

HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?

No outage is anticipated for Individual or Group Workspaces but the following should be considered at-risk: \\hs2.lboro.ac.uk  \\hs6.lboro.ac.uk  \\ws6.lboro.ac.uk

No outage is anticipated for Learn but VLE software downloads should be considered at-risk

SCCM will be unavailable until Thursday 7th January around 9am once completion of the work has been confirmed

TIMESCALE?

The work will take place Wednesday 6th January from 16:00 to 20:00.
