The Symantec Anti-Virus Client 14.2 RU1 (14.2.3335.1000) will be deployed to staff machines across campus as per the rollout schedule below:

This new SEP Client provides support for Windows 10 1903. The live staff task sequence has already been updated with this new SEP version.
Symantec Anti-Virus 14 MP1 will be rolled out to the staff service over the next few weeks according to the deployment schedule below:

Symantec™ Endpoint Protection 14 Release Notes
Lab machines will get this new version of SEP when they are re-imaged over the summer.
The ‘PC Staff Base’ image is available for imaging again.
When you image a machine with the ‘PC Staff Base’ Task Sequence SEP 14 MP1 will be installed.
A small change will be made to the ‘PC Staff Base’ Task Sequence this Thursday (25th) at 9AM. The Task Sequence will be modified so that Symantec Anti-Virus 14 MP1 gets installed during the image build process. This change will replace the older AV Client Task Sequence Step which currently installs SEP 12.1.6 MP5.
Once this change has been made and tested another e-mail will be sent out advising that the ‘PC Staff Base’ is available for imaging again.

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 (MP5) will be deployed across campus starting from Tuesday the 18th of October.

The main benefits of upgrading to the 12.1.6 (MP5) platform include:

This update will install silently at 03:00AM when the machines are woken up. This new version of Verismic provides bug fixes and security improvements, and will bring the clients in line with the Verismic Server which is already running v4.0.51001.1.

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.6 will be deployed to all Windows 7 Service Staff PCs across campus from the 26/01/2016. The rollout schedule is as follows:

IT Services are pleased to announce the release of the Windows 7 Core Beta Build for the 2015/16 academic year. Please install this core beta build onto a test machine and use it to evaluate its suitability as a platform for learning and teaching next year.
