Speaker: Professor Carl May, University of Southampton
Date: 19th May 2015@ 4 – 5.45pm
Location: A06/7, Institute of Mental Health, University of Nottingham Innovation Park,
Triumph Road, Nottingham, NG7 2TU.
In this seminar, Carl will explore how we understand the dynamics of human agency
under conditions of constraint. On the face of it, this might seem a highly abstract
philosophical question, but in fact, this is the central scientific question that underpins the
very practical applied research that seeks to change professional behaviours and
promote practice implementation, and as such matters very much to researchers and
practitioners who want to initiate and sustain change in healthcare delivery.
