The Diamond Light Source is the UK National Particle Accelerator, a £500m facility in Oxfordshire. www.diamond.ac.uk
This presentation will detail some of the many challenges faced at Diamond, tackling them from the bottom up and the top down.
The challenges we face range from the positioning of sub-micron particles to the assembly of macro assemblies, often metres long, that need nanometre precision.
