Hello everyone! My name is Sofia. This is my first blog post and I\u2019m really excited to take you all on my Loughborough journey and give you a little insight on what it\u2019s like to be a second year Drama<\/a> student at Loughborough.<\/p>\n

Fun fact about me: I am an international student<\/a>. Being an international student is difficult sometimes, I get homesick a lot and I absolutely hate flying (No matter how beautiful the view is sometimes).<\/p>\n

But being at Loughborough\u00a0really\u00a0has provided me with so many new opportunities and has become my second home. I want to share all my experiences with you, I will be uploading a blog post every month sharing something new with you about my Loughborough Life.<\/p>\n

I really enjoy my course and love all the performances that we have to do. My course is luckily 100% based on coursework so no exams for me! But that does mean I have to work extra hard on my essays and performances.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Now, Loughborough isn\u2019t all about studying of course. We have an amazing student life as well which definitely helps during my study breaks. We have so many societies<\/a> here i which really allow me to find people who share the same interests as I do!<\/p>\n

I am part of Stage Society<\/a> again this year as I was last year. We performed Witches of Eastwick<\/em> in the beginning of this semester and it was fantastic. We worked really hard on the show and the turnout was amazing!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I enjoy trying new things. Last year I joined AU Cheerleading<\/a> and it really was a blast, I learned a lot of new techniques and made so many new friends. I\u2019ve never been the sporty type but it did include dance and flexibility which is more my thing.<\/p>\n

This year, I joined AU Dance<\/a> and we are rehearsing every week and getting ready for our 3-day show in February.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As I am a second year, I currently live in Loughborough town<\/a>. I definitely prefer it to living in halls, plus I get to live with my flatmates again from last year who I have really grown close to. I do sometimes miss how close I used to be to lectures and the Students’ Union<\/a> but I feel a lot more like an adult living in my own house, where I have to do all the cleaning instead of having a cleaner and my own cooking instead of being catered.<\/p>\n

This made me decide to live in town again for my third year. But because all my current flatmates are planning on doing a placement year<\/a>, I\u2019ll be living with some of my course\u00a0friends next year. We went on a few house viewings a month ago and have chosen the one we wanted already.<\/p>\n
