Christmas Self-Care
The Christmas holidays can be extremely busy, with lots of exciting events to go to and people to see. It can be hard to find the balance between fun and study, so it’s important to take some time to focus on yourself over the festive period and make sure you’re prepared for the new year. Here are our top tips on Christmas self-care this year!
1. Make a realistic plan
Realistic planning is key when scheduling in work over the holidays. Plans are likely with the chaos of Christmas! When writing down what you’re going to do each day, make sure to allow for these plans to change so you don’t end up behind on work.
2. Take a break
Remember to take a break from work too! Constantly working can take its toll on your brain and it’s likely that it will reduce your productivity. Make sure to pick which days you’re taking off completely and enjoy your time off guilt-free.
3. Time-limit yourself
A good time-management strategy is giving yourself a time limit of how long you’re going to work each day and use it as a goal to work towards. When you’re working under the time-limit, you’ll find yourself more motivated to concentrate on the task.
4. Get a good nights sleep
It is easy to stay up late chatting to friends and family, but it is important to take some time out to rest as there is nothing better than a good nights sleep. Making sure you get some rest and sleep over the holidays will help you with your memory, creativity, and productivity the next day.
5. Get out and about
Going on a walk with family/pets is a fun and productive break from work. Not only will getting out and about in the fresh air help clear your head, but the change of atmosphere will also increase motivation and help you to focus on your work.
