Public Lecture: RAeS – The Buccaneer

This lecture, by Air Commodore Graham Pitchfork MBE, will cover the development of the Buccaneer and its service in the Fleet Air Arm and the Royal Air Force. This includes carrier-borne, maritime and overland operations including the aircraft’s involvement during the First Gulf War.

Managing Uncertainty Webinar

This session aims to unpack why change, often because it’s beyond our control, can affect us so greatly. We will explore how our brains work and why uncertainty brings uncomfortable feelings that we often should not ignore.
Christmas in the Wood
13 December 2023, 2pm-3.30pm, Burleigh Wood
Take a walk through the woods experiencing poetry, singing, music and history. It will then finish with a short reflection on the meaning of Christmas. Mince pies and mulled apple juice will be provided. The walk will last approximately one hour.
Book Launch: Laura Harrington, You Cannot Step in the Same River Twice

As the culmination of Laura Harrington’s visiting artist work with Radar, this event launches the publication ‘You Cannot Step in the Same River Twice’. Participants will receive a free copy of the publication, and refreshments including warm drinks will be available.

Exhibition: Between Light and Shadow

This exhibition by Yeshan Yang (School of Design and Creative Arts) provides an immersive and interactive experience of sculptures, such as cage-like structures that challenge viewers’ perceptions and the boundaries of reality.
