If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stressed, or experiencing a mental health problem that is making work difficult for you, you can access external support with Maximus. They have virtual, confidential one-to-one appointments available for Loughborough University staff on 22 December.

Academic Language Support Service Workshops

ALSS will be running two workshops. You can come along to just one or both. Registering for both the morning and the afternoon session is encouraged. Drinks and festive treats will be served at approximately 12pm. If you are coming for the whole day, don’t forget to bring your lunch.
ISE Five-a-side Indoor Football Tournament
18 December 2023, 5pm-7pm, New Victory Hall (Holywell Sports Complex)
This is your chance to win our Christmas Cup alongside some festive prizes. Please book on the Loughborough Sports App (on the MyLifestyle tile). Booking will open one week before the event. If you have a team already, you need to make sure all your team members book individually. Numbers are limited so book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Trip to Birmingham’s Christmas Market

Pick up 8.45am Wolfson School (University) or pick up 9am from Amber Rooms (Town Centre) Return to Loughborough by 5.30pm.
Birmingham is famous for having one of the best Christmas Markets in the UK. Their continental style market is the largest authentic German market outside Germany and Austria and the centrepiece of the city’s festive event calendar. You will also have a chance to explore the UK’s second largest city which hosts attractions like the Bull Ring Shopping Centre, the SeaLife Centre, the interactive Thinktank Science Museum and more.

Your Students’ Union is hosting a gingerbread house-making afternoon. Decorate your own gingerbread house which you can then enjoy eating over Christmas.
