Interrogative Practices: documenting human rights in south Asia
On Tuesday 15 January 2019, Dr Rohit Dasgupta, Dr Clelia Clini and Saif Osmani have organised an event at our London campus to discuss ‘Interrogative Practices: documenting human rights in south Asia’.
The event will focus on “what are some of the key challenges faced by media agencies, photographers and filmmakers when covering human rights in south Asia and how have they negotiated access into communities and through political power structures?”
Presentations and the panel discussion will be by the following:
- Ruhi Hamid, Documentary Filmmaker
- Saiful Islam, CEO of Majority World
- Mallika Leuzinger, PhD Researcher
- Placard-making workshop led by Saif Osmani
Guest presentations will be between 10.30am – 12.30pm in room LDN.0.17 and the placard-making workshop will be at 1.30pm on the Ground Floor. Lunch will be provided in between these sessions.
