Induction Week checklist

3rd September 2018Students, Study Standard

If you are joining us this September, 2018, here is a checklist of things to keep in mind ahead of induction week.

Before we get started, it is worth mentioning that you must complete the online registration process and book an in-person registration slot before arriving onto campus for Induction Week. For new students joining in September 2018, Induction Week will be taking place from 24-27 September 2018. Whilst you probably won’t need to be on campus every day that week, you absolutely must be on campus to attend your programme’s in-person registration session and programme talk. You can find out these details by visiting our website.

#1 Remember to bring key documents with you to registration! This includes documentation to confirm your identity, as well as original academic documents to confirm previous educational achievements. For example, please bring the certificates or transcripts of the academic qualifications on which your admission was based.

#2 If your qualifications are not in English, a translation should be provided by a professional translator or translation agency.

#3 We do not accept faxed, un-stamped, photocopied or scanned copies of documents.

#4 If you do not bring the correct documentation, this could result in you being unable to register for your chosen programme. Please check here for a list of appropriate documents.

#5 If you do bring fraudulent documents, you will not be permitted to register at the University and your offer of a place will be withdrawn.

#6 Between 1-4pm on Friday 28th September, #WELCOMEFEST 2018 will be returning, and will include plenty of opportunities, services and offers for you to take advantage of during your studies. The event is a great way to meet other students and get to know more about the range of events, clubs and activities you can get involved in throughout the year.

#7 Make sure to check out the before you arrive page. Here you can find information on accommodation, arriving into London and registration – everything you need to prepare you to joining us in September.

From reading this blog, those joining us in September should hopefully be prepared for registration week and semester one. We hope you are all excited to start your new chapter at Loughborough University London and we can’t wait to welcome you all to the #LboroFamily soon!
