The event was jointly organised by the Institute for International Management and Entrepreneurship and the Institute for Diplomacy and International Affairs at LUL, in partnership with the UCL School of Management and the University of Cambridge (Centre of Geopolitics).&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>The purpose was clear: to co-design practical solutions for Ukraine\u2019s post-war reconstruction and to strengthen long-term UK\u2013Ukraine ties under the framework of the \u201c100-Year Partnership Agreement.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop welcomed 146 participants in total \u2014 both in person and online \u2014 working together in a hybrid format that connected London with Ukraine and beyond.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Purpose-Driven Agenda<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop offered a carefully designed programme that blended policy discussion with entrepreneurial brainstorming and it was opened with presentations from key stakeholders, who shared their success stories and statements of contribution to the ongoing Nuffield Foundation Grant proposal project. Early sessions featured input from communications, entrepreneurship, and public speaking experts. The session also included a panel of Ukrainian entrepreneurs in the UK \u2014 \u201cBridge for Ukraine\u2019s Reconstruction\u201d \u2014 which explored different ways of building partnership through entrepreneurship.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br><strong>Speakers included:&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serhii Savytskyi, Founder &amp; CEO of SC Consulting Group&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oksana Chaiun, Co-founder of LightCraft family&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Halyna Skvortsova, Founder and host of the Make Sense podcast&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maryna Leonchuk, Trainer in public speaking and intercultural communication&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anna Azarova, Communications Lead at The British International School, Ukraine&nbsp; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, they shared perspectives on innovation, resilience, and community-building, demonstrating how diaspora-led business initiatives can support Ukraine\u2019s recovery while strengthening UK\u2013Ukraine ties.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Later in the programme, Professor Anna Grosman directed an Interactive Breakout Sessions, simultaneously with Viktoriia Startseva led an interactive brainstorming session with online participants, where Participants rotated through two focused groups:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong> 1.<\/strong> What can governments do to support entrepreneurs without direct funding?&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><strong>&nbsp; 2.<\/strong> How can entrepreneurs contribute to Ukraine\u2019s reconstruction and UK\u2013Ukraine bridge-building under the \u201c100-Year Partnership\u201d?&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>These discussions produced actionable recommendations, from non-financial government support policies to entrepreneur-driven initiatives for rebuilding communities and economies.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Networking Lunch provided a bridge between brainstorming and strategy-building, encouraging new partnerships across policy, business, and academia.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keynote Panel: \u201cThe Future of UK\u2013Ukraine Policymaking &amp; Enterprise\u201d: Moderated by Professor Anna Grosman, the panel brought together:&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tony Richards (The Millennium Centre, St Helens) \u2013 on inclusive communities and civic-driven impact.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tanya Laidlaw (W Legal Limited) \u2013 on legal and business frameworks for migration and entrepreneurship.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marc Ortmans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.genglobal.org\/user\/marc-ortmans\">Global Entrepreneurship Network UK<\/a>\u2013 on the GEN UK \u201cRestart Ukraine\u201d initiative supporting displaced Ukrainian founders.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel emphasised how civic institutions, legal infrastructure, and entrepreneurial networks can empower both the Ukrainian diaspora in the UK and Ukraine\u2019s recovery.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closure &amp; Workshop Outcomes: <\/strong>The day concluded with a collective reflection on next steps, followed by informal networking at Crate Brewery, Hackney Wick \u2014 a fitting finale that carried the energy of collaboration into new personal and professional connections.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expected Outcomes&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"432\" height=\"324\" data-id=\"5435\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/10\/Picture5-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/10\/Picture5-1.jpg 432w, https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/10\/Picture5-1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"432\" height=\"324\" data-id=\"5436\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/10\/Picture6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5436\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/10\/Picture6.jpg 432w, https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/london\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/10\/Picture6-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The workshop was not just about discussion \u2014 it was about creating momentum for real-world impact.
