There were some\u00a0thought-provoking presentations, notably by Laz Zindovic, VP Education of the Students&#8217; Union in which he set out what students have come to expect in terms of learning technologies.<\/p>\n<p>All the presentations were captured on the ReVIEW lecture capture system and will be edited and made available on this blog.<\/p>\n<p>Participants were of course attracted by the quality of the speakers and presentations, and the fact that there was a free lunch was a minor consideration&#8230; Likewise the incentive of being entered into a prize draw to win a Kindle e-reader.<\/p>\n<p>The lucky winner was Dr Peter Demian, Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil and Building Engineering.\u00a0Here\u00a0you can see a beaming Peter having just received his prize!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Last week&#8217;s E-learning Showcase \/ Teaching Innovation Award event was a success, with\u00a0around 70 colleagues attending over the course of the day.
