{"id":2831,"date":"2014-07-16T10:22:52","date_gmt":"2014-07-16T09:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/copyright.lboro.ac.uk\/elearning\/?p=2831"},"modified":"2014-12-08T13:34:35","modified_gmt":"2014-12-08T13:34:35","slug":"changes-to-turnitin-for-next-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/teaching-learning\/2014\/07\/16\/changes-to-turnitin-for-next-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to TurnItIn for next  year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Learn interface to TurnItIn is changing next year.\u00a0 When the new edition of Learn is released on July 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, all TurnItIn assignments will need to be re-created for the new session.\u00a0 This is no different from previous years, although the software will look slightly different (see: <a title=\"Changes to Turnitin\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/teaching-learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2014\/07\/Changes-to-TurnItIn-for-2014.docx\">Changes to Turnitin<\/a>\u00a0).<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Submitting coursework through Turnitin\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/teaching-learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2014\/07\/Submitting-coursework-through-TurnItIn.pptx\" target=\"_blank\">A six-slide PowerPoint presentation<\/a>\u00a0is available to show students how to submit coursework using the new TurnItIn assignment.\u00a0 It may be added to a module as a standalone resource or incorporated into a lecture presentation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your module uses a TurnItIn assignment activity, a new instance of the activity will need to be created in the 2014-15 module, just as you should have created a new activity last year.<\/li>\n<li>The new TurnItIn assignments will be created with a new version of the software, and work through a new TurnItIn account.<\/li>\n<li>As usual, students involved in the SAP will use last year\u2019s edition of Learn (which will be called Learn13) and the old 2013 TurnItIn assignments will still work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Learn interface to TurnItIn is changing next year.\u00a0 When the new edition of Learn is released on July 22nd, all TurnItIn assignments will need to be re-created for the new session.\u00a0 This is no different from previous years, although the software will look slightly different (see: Changes to Turnitin\u00a0).
