There are 14 subjects with the new curriculum that have been examined for the first time in summer 2017 and many students entering university in the 2017\/18 academic year will have taken these examinations. The 14 subjects are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Art and Design<\/li>\n<li>Biology<\/li>\n<li>Business<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Computer Science<\/li>\n<li>Economics<\/li>\n<li>English Language<\/li>\n<li>English Language and Literature<\/li>\n<li>English Literature A<\/li>\n<li>English Literature B<\/li>\n<li>History<\/li>\n<li>Physics<\/li>\n<li>Psychology<\/li>\n<li>Sociology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The key changes to these A Levels are that they are now non-modular with most subjects being assessed mainly by examination at the end of the course. AS Level is a stand-alone qualification and no longer counts towards a GCE A Level.
