{"id":374,"date":"2010-08-23T09:11:52","date_gmt":"2010-08-23T09:11:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/copyright.lboro.ac.uk\/elearning\/?p=374"},"modified":"2010-08-23T09:11:52","modified_gmt":"2010-08-23T09:11:52","slug":"374","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lboro.ac.uk\/teaching-learning\/2010\/08\/23\/374\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes at TurnItIn UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are now into our sixth year of using the TurnItIn service, and there are several changes to the service for the new year.<\/p>\n<p>From September 4th, registered users (who already have logins and passwords for the service) will see a new interface to the service when the visit the website.\u00a0 The changes aim at integrating the three TurnItIn services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Originality Check &#8211; the new name for the old plagiarism detection service.\u00a0 Works the same as before, but shows a better representation of the submitted work (for example embedded\u00a0images are now displayed)<\/li>\n<li>GradeMark &#8211; the online marking tool which could be used as an alternative to Learn&#8217;s online (paperless) marking tools, and&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>PeerMark &#8211; a peer assessment tool for students to mark each other&#8217;s work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more details of the changes, <a href=\"http:\/\/hosted.verticalresponse.com\/175731\/4c2fec7907\/122002261\/4a912fe3d6\/\">see the current Newsletter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We are also hoping to get a revised version of the new Learn TurnItIn activity.\u00a0 More details on this when it arrives!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are now into our sixth year of using the TurnItIn service, and there are several changes to the service for the new year.
