Loughborough has an island in Second Life and members of the university’s Second Life Special Interest Group have been building on it. In these pictures, you can see a black-box theatre studio that English & Drama students can use to plan productions in the department’s Leonard Dixon theatre, its equivalent in meat-space. Below it you can see the view from the roof of the extraordinarily detailed Engineering Building, looking down through the sky-light to the accurately rendered interior. Anyone who wants to join the Special Interest Group should contact Gabriel <g.egan@lboro.ac.uk>, who will pass on your details so you get building rights too if you want them.<\/p>\n
