As part of the STEMinism UK network, TARGETjobs Events are proud to present IT’s not just for the boys! An event designed exclusively for female students in technology, e-commerce, computer science and related disciplines to find out more about careers in the technology industry.
This year, our two events will be held on 18 October 2013 and 22 November 2013 at Bloomberg’s HQ in London and will give you the opportunity to:
- network with inspirational women in the technology sector
- enhance the skills you’ll need when applying for graduate jobs
- learn about the dynamic careers available within technology and how to get one!
- boost your CV and experience while creating lifelong contacts
All invited delegates will be sent full details and an event programme in advance of attending; however as a guide the events will run from late-morning to early evening and include:
- welcome and guest speaker
- skills workshop with graduate recruiters
- panel discussion with senior female industry experts
- “insider insights” – opportunity to hear what life is like in each organisation from recent graduates
- networking and drinks reception
Refreshments will be provided and a contribution towards travel expenses will be available.
Who can apply?
- You must be a female undergraduate studying at a university in the UK or Europe.
- You must be able to demonstrate a desire to develop a technology career.
- You must be on track for a 2:1 if in your penultimate or final year.
