Did you know that if you have a degree in a subject other than Law, you can take a conversion course called the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)? Once you have passed that you will be able to go on to take the Legal Practice Course (if you want to become a solicitor) or the Bar Professional Training Course (if you want to become a barrister).
De Montfort University are holding an Open Afternoon for current De Montfort University (DMU) students who are interested in taking the GDL, either through full-time or part-time study, to enable you to find out more about the course offered, the careers provision and pro bono opportunities available.
The event will be held in the Hugh Aston Building and will start with registration in the main reception area from 2.00 pm – 2.15 p.m. Hugh Aston is No.18 on the Campus Map
The event will include a presentation at 2.15 pm about the GDL and Careers and Finance (including a Question and Answer session). This will be followed by drinks and the opportunity to talk to members of staff who teach on the GDL who will be available to answer any individual questions you may have.
