Oh, how time flies!

I have a deep fascination with clocks and how people for centuries have tried to precisely measure time. The intricacies of watch and clock making are not only for me well crafted, meticulous instruments of time keeping but beautiful instruments of science.

STEM Community Day 2017

STEM is an acronym used to encompass the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Every year for the past five years the University hosts a STEM inspired Community Day, an event I loved participating in last year and this year will be no different.

Footprints on the sands of time

It is the start of a new semester and that means normal services have resumed for me. The nice thing about his time of the year is that the days have already been getting noticeably longer which makes my usual routine of early morning so much better.

Introducing Emma

I’m a mature student, which sounds like I’m really old. I’m only a couple of years off the big 3-0 so still very sprightly, only requiring a mid afternoon siesta and comfortable shoes.
