In and around Loughborough there are a lot of small local business that we can support.
As a student on placement, and someone who did attend careers fairs at university in second-year, I can tell you that going to these events does help you to find the right second-year placement and graduate opportunity for you.
Lectures maybe something you didn’t consider when you thought about uni. You may have thought, “Well, every student has them, so what’s so difficult”.
I am on a Graphic Design Placement for a year, and have wanted to write about what I have learnt at university, whether that has been useful and how I have applied that in the workplace.
If you have been following my blogs, then you will know that I am currently on placement as a Junior Graphic Designer for Johnson and Johnson. I have really enjoyed the first few weeks as the company has supported me and given me a lot of responsibility.
Well, the year is over. Second year has been tough but I have achieved a lot. As an art student, my outcomes are not only essays but I also have visuals to share so I thought I might show you some of them this month.
On 1st May, my course group and I flew to Prague, part of our coursework for Graphic Communication and Illustration.
I have always been someone who loves music, from writing music to singing, but never had the confidence to sing in public.
At Loughborough University all courses give you the opportunity to do a Placement Year or a Sandwich course.
