‘Mutuality’ project

  • Are you unemployed or in a job which doesn’t fit your skills?
  • Would you like to develop interpersonal and training skills in a stimulating environment?
  • Would you like to help people and travel?
  • Would you like to do a TEFL course for free?

If so, Eduwise Limited may be able to help. We are an official provider to the UK Border Agency and EU Integration Fund for our ‘Mutuality’ project, which assists non-EU migrants to the UK to integrate into UK Society. Every year, we recruit over 50 Mentors to work with learners at our centres in Oxfordshire and Reading.

In return for your volunteering, we will fund your training towards the Trinity College London Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Cert TESOL) through our associate organisation, Languages Training & Development.

At present we are particularly keen to recruit for the training programme between 14 January and 15 February 2013, though there are later programmes.

The Cert TESOL is one of only two universally recognised ‘TEFL’ Certificates. You will learn ‘on the job’ after which you will be in a position to:

-Apply for an English Language Teaching job in the UK or abroad,

-Work freelance as a private tutor or take on ‘homestay students’.

The programme is open to both employed and unemployed people and is normally compatible with jobcentre plus requirements for those on jobseeker’s allowance. We have access to accommodation with local families for those who require it. Both graduates and non-graduates may apply.
