Sannam S4 and the University of Dundee have been selected to deliver UKIERI’s (UK India Education and Research Initiative) Work Placement Programme under the Enhancing Mobility strand of the programme. We are aiming to place 20 UK nationals for up to 6 month of paid internship in the NCR region
The programme brief is as follows:
- UKIERI is supported by governments of both the countries.
- The internships are for up to 6 months long and will be located in the Delhi and NCR.
- The candidates will be arrive in India in end January – early February, 2013.
- The students would have a Masters degree and are likely to have prior work experience.
- On the visa front, we will be getting a special clearance as this project is supported by both the British and Indian governments
- A stipend of Rs. 28,000 per month would be paid to cover accommodation which has been identified and travel costs to work via public transport
- The applicants will be British nationals
- The accommodation for stay in Delhi has been identified and approved by our counterparts the University of Dundee
- We have already identified 17 placements, 16 of which are based out of the Delhi region
- The placements are across various sectors which include Civil engineering , Architecture, Marketing, Design, Banking and consulting in organisations that will have British nationals as a part of the management team
Interview Process
Applications: submitted through UKPASS (postgraduate equivalent of UCAS).
Eligibility Criteria: All applicant must be UK passport holders, postgraduates within 2 years of graduation and eligible for Indian tourist visa.
Interview Process: The interview process will involve a briefing on the programme, a question based interview and a presentation. Please note that these may be subject to change
This process will focus on the applicants

- suitability based on skills and experience (team work, interpersonal skills and a “can do” Attitude)
- resilience and adaptability
The applicant will then have an interview with Sannan S4 about internships, followed at a later date with interviews with employers.
The programme commence with learning modules at The university of Dundee w.e.f. the 14th of January. The work placements starts in India on February 4th. An induction and orientation programme takes place in India.
