IDM Data Discovery in Marketing

What’s the IDM Data Discovery in Marketing?
Data Discovery in Marketing is a 3-day programme where successful candidates will get the chance to learn all about the marketing business and the enormous importance of customer data within it. It’s designed specifically for final year students who are studying numerically or analytically-orientated degree courses or modules, and whose skills are complemented by a flair for business or creativity with numbers. They’ll learn direct from data marketing experts, try their hand at practical marketing projects and get the chance to tackle a real life marketing brief. They’ll also be introduced to industry VIPs whose advice and mentoring will give a priceless boost to their employability, and who can open the door direct to the jobs. Last year’s Data Discovery graduates also had great fun doing it!

The Fulbright Commission is the only organisation that offers scholarships for academic work in any subject, at any accredited US university. Each year, we give awards to approximately 40 UK citizens, including approximately 25 at the postgraduate-level. More than  funding, our awards offer scholars the opportunity to have a transformative cultural and  academic experience and provide unparalleled support both during and after their Fulbright  year. In addition to the all-disciplines category, we also offer subject-specific awards in  partnership with prestigious UK and US institutions in fields such as public affairs, journalism,  law, finance and information science

ECU Survey: Improving careers support for disabled students

Equality Challenge Unit are running a survey seeking the views of disabled students and recent graduates on the support you have received from your university in starting your career.

Sharing your experiences will help to improve careers support for disabled students. The findings will be used to help careers services work with employers to remove barriers to employment and support disabled students in developing employability skills and identifying career paths. The survey is part of a project supported by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.

Complete the survey

The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete and will ask about your experience of your university career service, what you think is currently been doing well and ideas to improve support.

The survey deadline has now extended and will closes on Sunday 9 February 2014. Three people who complete the survey will be selected at random to receive £50.
