Exploring the Destinations of 2012 graduate leavers can prove invaluable when researching one’s own future career options. It can identify employers who like to recruit Loughborough graduates and different job roles one might which to research further.
The Destination of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) survey, is conducted six months after graduation and looks at everyone from the UK who left university after their first degree. Key findings for Loughborough University include:
- 83% of first degree graduates responded to survey.
- Unemployment fell from 8.4% in 2011 to 7.2% in 2012.
- 83% of those in full-time employment secured good quality professional/managerial roles
- The median Salary of £23,000 remained the same as in 2011.
Key findings from 2011 national destinations included:
- 61.8% entered employment and 8.6% were unemployed
- 8.4% were working and studying at the same time
- 13.1% continued with further study or training
- Average salaries of graduates employed full-time in the UK ranged from £18,285 to £23,635, depending on their occupation.
