Mentors available in Engineering:
Offshore Construction Engineer – Chevron Upstream Europe a Construction Project Engineer with over 17 years of broad-based experience, mainly in the oil & gas industry, but also in civil infrastructure projects.

Senior Engineering Programme Manager, Optare PLC, a BEng Mechanical Engineering graduate from Karunya University – India, with a wealth of experience within Automotive Technology, Powertrain, business Management, Development & Project Management. Mentoring opportunity open to students from Automotive, Business Management, Electrical & Renewable Engineering and other Engineering courses.

Maintenance Deliver Engineer, National Grid GasA Mechanical Engineering graduate who can support your career if your interests are around mechanical, electrical or control and instrument careers or if you are interested to learn about optimising or learning about process.

Senior Associate, Munro & Associates,  USA. A Loughborough Automotive Engineering and Design graduate who specialize in the automotive field, and in particular body engineering, but also powertrain, trim and chassis as well as consumer goods and heavy engineering. This mentor also have experience from Jaguar, Nissan, Ford, Chrysler, Renault and have worked in Europe and the USA.

Associate, Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc, An  Avionics Engineering graduate from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, with a wealth of experience in development of systems for trading energy commodities, developing technology for defence, telecommunications and logistics. Current interests include software architectures, design patterns, distributed systems and concurrency. This mentor can advise on life long career progression techniques and processes and help students identify their interests and research corresponding careers.

Design Engineer, JCB Cab System, an MSc. Engineering Design graduate from Loughborough with experience in team leading, Designing, Production Planning, Quality Inspection, Material Management, Engineering Change Management for heavy vehicle design team. This mentoring opportunity is open to MSc. students from Engineering Design or Automotive Engineering.

Mentors available in Finance :

Auditor, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, China, an International Business and Trade graduate from Harbin Institute of Technology, who work as an auditor in Deloitte, mainly involved in the HK IPO, clients mainly in the nonferrous mining industry. Also provide services to other energy and manufacturing companies in the industry. If you are a Chinese student interested in learning about accounting or finance, this mentor can offer some helpful advice. Open to students from: Accounting and Financial Management, Finance and Management, Financial Economics, Financial Mathematics.

Commodities Trader, Newedge, an Accounting and Financial Management graduate from Loughborough with experience  from Newedge and RBC Capital Markets as a commodities trader and Equity trading later on. Also worked at Nomura for just over a year as an intern. 

Client Valuations Analyst –  Barclays Capital, a Banking Finance and Management graduate from Loughborough with experience from GlaxoSmithKline, UK, JP Morgan, UK and presently Analyst, EMEA Operations Client Valuations Group November, Barclays, UK. This mentor wants to assist a student to successfully secure the right job for them, and share their experience of graduating and getting on the career ladder. This mentoring opportunity is open to students with an interest in banking/finance. Preferably someone ambitious and driven who requires direction but will also be proactive and demonstrate that they are using the mentoring advice.

Mentors available in Management Consultancy :

Assistant Director, EY, a BSc Banking Finance & Management graduate from Loughborough University, who after having spent a year with EY as a placement student in 2002-2003, re-joined EY directly upon graduation from Loughborough. Completed chartered accountancy qualification in 2007. The mentor have had secondments to audit but have been part of the Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services team for most of their career. This mentor currently provide forensic accounting services to help clients who (a) have been victims of or suspect accounting fraud or financial misstatement or (b) are involved in commercial or transaction disputes.
