£1,000 Bursary Available for Applicants to Quest Overseas Summer Projects
Quest Overseas is celebrating five successful years of fundraising through its charity arm, Quest4Change by offering students the chance to apply for a Bursary worth £1,000. The award will go towards the cost of one of our summer projects this year, where teams of volunteers spend 4-6 weeks over the summer working alongside local communities on one of our long term development projects based in either Africa or South America.
Workshadow Scheme 2013
Applications for the Workshadow Scheme 2013 are now being accepted, offering access to over 135 work experience placements/visits for 2nd year undergraduates who are studying in the following schools and departments:
- School of the Arts, English and Drama
- School of Design
- Department of Economics
- Department of Information Science
- School of Social, Political and Geographical Studies
- School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences

The award winning Civil Service Fast Stream’s Summer Diversity Internship Programme (SDIP) – is now open for applications
The programme has been recognised for three awards this year. It received a Rate My Placement Best Diversity in Work Experience Award 2012 (winner) and a National Council for Work Experience (Public Sector) Award 2012 (highly commended). In addition, the Coaching Programme, that forms a part of the internship, was highly commended for the Mentoring Award category of the prestigious Race for Opportunity Awards 2012.
