International Summer School programme

The ISS is an intensive, six-week academic programme which aims at promoting international goodwill and cultural understanding among tomorrow’s leaders as they learn about India and its role in the twenty first century.  Our 2014 session is scheduled to take place between Sunday, June 15 and Friday, July 25, 2014.  Our course modules include Indian Politics, The Indian Economy, Indian Sociology and Indian History.  A fifth module, Fieldwork, will allow students to engage with India through a series of seminars, workshops, excursions and a volunteer experience as well as to build on the knowledge gained from the other four modules.  The entire academic programme will contribute towards academic credits being earned from the Jamia.

For this year’s programme, we have set aside five full scholarships exclusively for students who are currently at one of our partnering institutions, Loughborough University being one of them.  The scholarships will cover the entire programme fees (airfare, visa fee and other such costs will still have to be borne by students or their sponsor).
