RSC Teacher Training Scholarships

Think you have the potential to become an exceptional chemistry teacher? Don’t miss out on this great opportunity for a teacher training scholarship worth £25,000. The final deadline for applications has been extended to 27 July 2014.

About the scholarships

Run in partnership with the Department for Education, the Royal Society of Chemistry will be awarding 180 scholarships for the 2014/15 training year to individuals who are passionate about teaching chemistry. As well as a £25,000 bursary, scholars will receive a support package, including free membership for two years. Find out more.

1. A 150 hour distance-learning Diploma TEFL Course; giving participants the skills,
confidence, and qualifications to get their ideal teaching job abroad.

Schools and Agencies throughout the world to make sure our students get the pick of
some of the best English Language teaching jobs around. If you would rather find your
own position, our Job Advisory Service will help you focus your search and provide
bespoke advice concerning your applications to ensure you get the job you want.
The specific duties and remuneration you can expect when teaching abroad obviously varies depending on a range of factors, for example: location, size of school, type of school (private or state), age of students etc. One of the key roles of our Job Placement Service is to help you decide what would suit you best.

Applications will be judged on their own merits and we do not wish to be overly prescriptive in terms of what we are looking for. Essentially, we want to know why you want to teach abroad and why you believe you should receive a Scholarship place. Enthusiasm and commitment are more important than previous teaching experience (though that may also be taken into account), and we would like to encourage as many people as possible from all disciplines to apply.

Apprenticeship Scheme 2014-15 – Spring Dance Company

Audition:
8th July 2014 – London

Springs Dance Company is inviting applications for the remaining places for its
Apprenticeship Scheme commencing in September 2014. This is an intensive dance training course within a Christian context.

Dancers and students can apply to audition for the one year course, elevate dance company which culminates in a tour of performances and workshops. Those with less experience of dance or those wishing to undertake a course of enriching CPD can apply to audition for the three month elevate foundation course. Both courses commence in September 2014, and take place in South London.
