All you need is a Raspberry Pi and the drive to use (or learn how to use) basic computer programming to make an incredible difference to people’s lives.

The CIMA global business challenge is an international business competition designed to bring out the best in the young business leaders of tomorrow. This is a great opportunity for students around the world to showcase their talent in business management.

The competition is organised in partnership with Barclays, who share our vision of developing and nurturing young talent around the world. The competition has evolved from eight participating regions around the world in 2009 to 25 regions for the 2013 competition, demonstrating the success and global reach of the challenge.

Win a free trip on a 4-week Expedition to Oman in January 2013

British Exploring are excited to launch a competition for one lucky winner to join the 4-week Empty Quarter Expedition to Oman in January 2013, thanks to a bursary worth £3000, funded by the Anglo Omani Society.


The lucky winner will only have to cover the cost of their flights and kit. (Flights are expected to be c.£700). In addition to this, for just £500 you can double the length of your expedition to 8-weeks!
There will also be 3 runner-up prizes of £1,500 (x1) and £1000 (x2) towards the cost of the 4- OR 8-week Empty Quarter Expedition in 2013
The deadline for this competition is 5pm on 3rd October 2012 and the winner will be announced on Monday the 8th October 2012.
