Second year? A unique opportunity to demonstrate your adaptability to employers.

The Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme (DTUS) on campus are opening up some of their team events and individual skills sessions to non military students. Open to undergraduate students from any degree discipline or year group.

What you need to know

You will be expected to attend an early morning fitness session to assess your fitness level if you want to participate in the team events.

Team events take place on a Wednesday afternoon; skills sessions on Thursday evenings 7-9pm. You do not need to attend all the sessions.

Limited places are available. If you are interested please come along to an information session on  Thursday  4th October 5pm – 6pm in the Keith Green Building (behind David Collett Hall)  to find out more. No need to book, but it would be helpful if you could email me to let me know if you are attending:  y.c.hamblin@lboro.ac.uk

Unattributed comments from last year include:

Wow, that was a real challenge, at one point I thought I wouldn’t make it to the finish but I am so glad I kept going.’

‘That was a very interesting evening and great fun, I just wish I had done that sooner.  I had a job interview with XXXX XXXXX this afternoon and they asked about media awareness.’

‘This will certainly help my LEA, however, I think the real advantage will be adding it to my CV’.
