Apprenticeship Scheme 2014-15

Springs Dance Company is inviting applications for its Apprenticeship Scheme commencing in September 2014. This is an intensive dance training course within a Christian context.

Dancers and students can apply to audition for the one year course, elevate dance company which culminates in a tour of performances and workshops. Those with less experience of dance can apply to audition for the three month elevate foundation course. Both courses commence in September 2014, and take place in South London.

Waterway Recovery Group launches its Canal Camps for 2014!

Waterway Recovery Group (WRG) runs a programme of unique week-long residential volunteering opportunities, known as ‘Canal Camps’ designed to restore the derelict canals of England and Wales to their former glory. Canal Camps give you the chance to do your bit for the environment whilst having a fun holiday.

Waterway Recovery Group have 25 Canal Camps, 2 Clean-up weekends and a Big Dig already planned for 2014 giving volunteers the chance to get involved in various activities such as rebuilding towpaths on the Driffield Navigation and Pocklington Canal in East Yorkshire, lining a section of the Lancaster Canal at Stainton, to lock clearance work on the Cromford Canal in Derbyshire and bricklaying at Ham Mill Lock on the Cotswold Canals.

We all know consultants exist but what do they actually do? Work in consulting involves providing external advice to organisations that require specialist expertise or an objective outside perspective on their business. Consulting is the identification and assessment of a problem or analysis of a specific area of an organisation, the reporting of findings and the formulations of recommendations for improvement.

Consultants are commonly called in for business improvement, change of management, information technology and long-term planning projects.

The work

Consultancy can offer the choice of varied assignments, the ability to choose interesting work and the flexibility (within limits) of deciding when and where to work. The range of a consultants work can be broad and they can either focus on one particular area of work or cover multiple.

Sky Academy Arts Scholarships

There’s just five days left for emerging artists aged 18-30 to apply for the £30,000 Sky Academy Arts Scholarships (previously known as the Futures Fund). The final deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 6 December.
