Engineering has always been at the heart of Dyson. We’re always working
on new projects, and we invest half our profits straight back into Research,
Design and Development (RDD). In fact, the only way to know more about our
ambitious future plans is to work in RDD.

We’re looking for experienced engineers to join the team. We need engineers, from varied
backgrounds, who thrive on the challenge of developing new machines and technologies.

GlaxoSmithKline – I&D Careers Afternoon 2013

Insight into the life of an in-house lawyer (solicitors, trade mark attorneys & patent attorneys)

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is hosting a careers afternoon at our headquarters in Brentford, Middlesex, on Wednesday 17 April 2013  (approx 2.30 – 5.00 pm).

The afternoon is intended to provide 2nd or 3rd year law and science students with the opportunity to:

  • Hear presentations by in-house lawyers from various legal functions within GSK (solicitors, trade mark attorneys, patent attorneys)
  • Learn about the sort of work we do in-house and our career paths
  • Take a tour of the Brentford site
  • Learn more about GSK generally
  • Meet and ask questions of our lawyers in an informal environment – a “networking session”.

We hope that  this afternoon will give students a brief but real insight into life as an in-house lawyer.

The event is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline’s Legal Department Diversity & Inclusion group. Acceptance onto this event will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Students are expected to fund their own travel to and from the event.

GlaxoSmithKline’s headquarters address is 980 Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 9GS. We are a 7 minute walk from Brentford overland train station and a 15 minute walk from Boston Manor underground station (Piccadilly Line).

Grad @ BHS is a 12 month programme designed to help you learn and develop within our business in order to become a successful Commercial Manager at BHS (no 2 in a large store).

There are 6 key stages of the Bhs Retail Graduate Programme where you undertake placements in a number of different roles in store; Sales Floor Manager, Food Manager, Operations Manager and Commercial Manager. You will also spend 2 weeks in Head Office where you get to work with the ‘movers’ and ‘shakers’ in the business, which gives you an insight of what goes on behind the scenes to make our stores great!

The GlaxoSmithKline Residential Chemistry Training Experience (2013)

This is a fully-funded, week-long training course designed to give you practical experience of the work of a graduate chemist in the pharmaceutical industry.  Based in the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) research laboratories we will provide you with personalised laboratory tuition together with coaching in interview technique, presentation skills and working in teams.

This programme now in its tenth year will be held at the GlaxoSmithKline Medicines Research Centre, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, on 15th – 20th September 2013.
