CIUK International Student (Non-EU) Work Experience Fairs

CIUK_Autumn_fair_posterCareer Interactive (CIUK) will be hosting International Student (Non-EU) Work Experience Fairs. The event aims to source greater relevant experience of employment for international students based in the the UK, and to increase the chances of graduates in finding their dream job. CIUK would therefore like to invite all international students across the UK to join the following fairs:

London: 29th October 2014 at Pimlico Academy (12-4pm)
Birmingham: 21st November 2014 at Millennium Point (12-4pm)
Manchester: 11th November 2014 at Manchester Town Hall (12-4pm)

Key Features of the fairs:

  • Students will have Free Entrance to our events;
  • All employer exhibitors are willing to provide any type of work experience to foreign students in the UK, and some of them have the capability to provide Tier 2 Sponsorship;

Vitalise is a charity which has been providing respite holidays for people with physical disabilities and their carers for over 50 years. Our guests range from people who spend most of their lives in care homes to family carers who very rarely get time to relax.

Our centres give our guests the chance to have a break, receiving the care and
support they need with the added extras of excursions, activities and
evening entertainment.

You can spend anything from a week to six months making sure our guests have a
holiday to remember. During this time, you will stay at the centre and complete a diverse range of duties alongside your fellow volunteers and Vitalise staff.

18 – 25 year olds needed for placements across Africa and Asia on VSO ICS (International Citizen Service)

VSO is one of the biggest and most respected names in volunteering for international development. The organisation has a 50-year track record of recruiting volunteers to live and work in developing countries and of bringing their skills, commitment and enthusiasm to play a major part in tackling poverty.
VSO ICS is funded by the UK government’s Department for International Development, giving UK young people the opportunity to live overseas for 10 -12 weeks, and work on impactful development programmes.

All costs are covered including flights, accommodation, visas, vaccinations and an allowance whilst on placement. We do ask volunteers to fundraise around £800 prior to the placement and are given extensive 1 to 1 fundraising support from ICS staff. There are also many grants and bursaries available. No young person will be excluded for financial reasons.
