Camtasia licences now available
The University now has a 100-user volume licence for Camtasia Studio 7, the screen recording application. This has been purchased with the support of the University’s Distance Learning Fund through a CHEST agreement (which makes certain software packages much cheaper for Higher Education).
Under this agreement, the 100-user licence will be available until the end of 2012.
If you are interested in being all0cated one of these licences, please contact either myself (c.f.g.shields @ lboro.ac.uk) or Adam Crawford (a.r.crawford @ lboro.ac.uk) providing details of how you intend to use the application. As the number of users is limited, we will prioritise the allocation of licences where there is evidence that:
– You will be creating materials to support distance learning AND /OR
– You’ve already used Camtasia or a similar product such as Captivate AND /OR
– You have a track record of providing extensive materials in your Learn modules.
In other words, we’d like to see the licences being used!!
If you’d like to know more about Camtasia, see the previous post at: https://blog.lboro.ac.uk/elearning/?p=95
We will be offering regular scheduled Staff Development sessions on the use of Camtasia over the coming year.
