Mini camcorders – a user perspective

Our mini camcorder kits (comprising Kodak camcorder, SD card, ‘bendy’ tripod, and tie-clip mic in a neat and robust flight case) are proving very popular. Here’s the view of one academic user, Tom Dijkstra from Civil and Building Engineering, who took one out on a recent field trip to China:

“Many thanks for letting me borrow the Kodak HD video camera for my fieldwork in China recently. It proved to be extremely useful to capture the geographical setting of a very diverse, mountainous terrain, something that is very difficult to achieve using still photography only. The quality of the little camera is very good (better than expected on the basis of the compact design) and is also excellent to derive still photos from using video capture software.”
