Tablets in Learning and Teaching: response to call for involvement
Last Friday lunchtime I posted an announcement to academic staff via Learn [for non Loughborough staff: Moodle] requesting expressions of interest in our Tablets in Learning and Teaching project for next academic year.
I was amazed by the response, with 40 expressions of interest received to date. At a time when it can be difficult to engage colleagues in learning technologies (understandably perhaps, with so may conflicting demands on people’s time), this was a really heartening response and it suggests we’ve tapped into something with potential.
Any Lboro colleague who will be teaching on at least one module in each semester next year is welcome to submit an application for one of our loan iPads, each of which will be allocated to an individual academic for the duration of the year. The commitment is to use the tablet in teaching, not just for updating Learn pages etc, and to post about the experience on this blog.
Please get in touch to request the application form if you’re interested.
