Teaching Centre/Graduate School job opportunity – 'Research Staff and Student Development Adviser'
The Teaching Centre – set to be relaunched on October 3rd as the Centre for Academic Practice – and the Graduate School are in the process of appointing a Research Staff and Student Development Adviser.
As the job description says, the successful candidate will be asked: “To contribute to the strategic objectives of the University by supporting the development of postgraduate research students and research staff at all career stages. This will encompass the design, promotion, delivery and the evaluation of training and development programmes, with specific responsibility for leading the enhancement of the online provision for researchers. The post-holder will be expected to foster and embed a research informed, evidence-based approach to researcher development. This is a joint appointment between the Teaching Centre (soon to be renamed the Centre for Academic Practice) and the Graduate School. The post holder will be based in the Teaching Centre and will also be expected to liaise closely with the Research Office, the Research Student Office and in particular with the Researcher Development Manager whose role is to provide strategic direction for researcher development activities at Loughborough. Although based at Loughborough the post-holder will also be expected to contribute to activities for the Loughborough in London campus.”
