E-learning Showcase

 

Last week’s E-learning Showcase / Teaching Innovation Award event was a success, with around 70 colleagues attending over the course of the day. There were some thought-provoking presentations, notably by Laz Zindovic, VP Education of the Students’ Union in which he set out what students have come to expect in terms of learning technologies.

All the presentations were captured on the ReVIEW lecture capture system and will be edited and made available on this blog.

Participants were of course attracted by the quality of the speakers and presentations, and the fact that there was a free lunch was a minor consideration… Likewise the incentive of being entered into a prize draw to win a Kindle e-reader.

The lucky winner was Dr Peter Demian, Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil and Building Engineering. Here you can see a beaming Peter having just received his prize!
